In the poster, many of the characters are wearing some sort of armour. This will make the characters seems strong and tough.
The background of the poster shows that it has some action in the film and also shows some fantasy
The genre to "dunes" seems to be fantasy, action and sci-fi
It seems to be set in both past and future because their techniques for fighting and the way they dress looks like that it is set in the past. However, some of their weapons such as lasers looks like they would be from the future.
The film looks like its from a different world but it also looks like it is in a desert
The costumes and props look old fashioned, but futuristic
In the Dune trailer, mes is used to effectively to show that the clothes the characters are wearing are old fashioned, but futuristic. They also show that they are meant to look strong and hard working. For example, in the scene where they are fighting. This shows that their clothes are old but they fight in a particular way that makes us think that they are from the future
