the media offers the audience an interpretation of the world 

It is a re presentation of the events, people and places  

Stereotypical

A stereotypical is a generalised representation of a person, place or thing

they are limited and often offensive or used for comedy 

Nanny -  old, female , 

Nurse - female, young , kind 

Teenager - lazy, antisocial, moody

Astronaut - male, middle aged, white 

Football player - male, middled age, rich

Opera fan - posh, female, boring , nerdy

Teacher - moody, always set homework

Tattoo lover - men

They are all men

they aren't young

They don't all look like nurses 

nurses are usually represented ad kind and soft 

it shows nurses can be any age, gender, race
